My Alyssa

I'm dedicating this post to Alyssa, who is probably one of the funniest people I know. She is way too smart for her own good (or my own good) and is always saying the craziest stuff...this morning while I was getting her ready for church she started singing "Nationwide is on your side" ya know the jingle for the insurance commercial...hilarious. She also decided to cut her hair for the 4th time while playing at her friends' house...unfortunately its right in the front this time...so now she has about a quarter of an inch of bang in the front... I don't think she will be cutting her hair anymore! She's gotten quite a few laughs. Oh and of course we had family pictures today but I was able to spray them down to her forehead, haha.

She also has quite the imagination. When I was little, and my hair was messy, my mom used to joke and say "your hair looks like a rats been sucking on it"...or something along those lines, right mom? Well awhile back I was trying to get the tangles out of Alyssa's hair and I came up with my own version of "Your hair looks like a rat's nest" and she looked at me and said "what?" like I was crazy or something, so I of course explained to her that Mimi used to say that to me... so Alyssa decided to take this joke a step further and within 10 minutes had the rat (and his entire family) named...she named him Pettisocks, don't ask where she came up with that, I have no clue...like I said, she has quite the imagination. So now whenever her hair is a mess she says "Oh Pettisocks is home" haha.

My little girl is growing up. She has her entire wedding planned to Nick Jonas or Shark Boy (she is still deciding between the two) and she is always putting on my make up and dancing around in high heels. Boy do we have our hands full! She may be a handful but life would be so dull without her, I just love her so much!
